  Advantages:

  This device runs fairly smooth, screen is responsive, it has reasonably good boot-up time and webpage loading. With a bit of tweaking Battery life is decent.

  Disadvantages:

  Single speaker is ok at best, g-sensor works for screen rotation but is inverted in all games I have tried (I can only play games that give option to invert axis). Scrolling is not as smooth as more expensive brand devices although it is acceptable.

  Other:

  For the first few weeks I ran the device out of the box, battery life was ok but was getting chewed up by “Cell Standby” (approx 60%), I didn’t really want to ROOT the tablet but in the end I went half way and used Visonary+ to “Temp ROOT” only and using Root Explorer renamed the Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk, if going down this path install WiFi Buddy first as renaming these files will disable some features (like turning on WiFi through settings). This makes a noticeable improvement to battery Life and although your device will throw up some errors I think the Pros outweigh the Cons. I also took the advice on a previous reviewer and installed a Task Killer, it’s amazing how many apps end up running in the background. For those interested as using this device as an eReader should note that using actual eBook format the text is good, clear and easy to read, however the PDF versions I have tried (only tried 2 books) the text is too small, if you have a large library of PDF books I suggest a larger screen. I was slightly concerned with the screen size and resolution however overall surfing with the device is good (I use Dolphin HD), page loading is quicker than my iPhone 3GS however scrolling is not quite as smooth, it is however acceptable and once you learn to slow down slightly you don’t really notice. I have ran SNES and NES emulators fine (N64oid had issues), Angry birds and aTilt Labyrinth work great, I have ran 720p movies with no stuttering (haven’t tried 1080p). This device is not perfect, and if you have used an iPad or Samsung Tablets you will notice the difference, you will need to adapt and slow down a bit and accept a $170 device is not expected to match a $600+ device. If this would be the major web surfing device in the house and you don't need portability of a 7" tablet I would be spending more and looking at something with a larger screen and higher end chip. However as a low cost entry level tablet, a secondary device or an eReader with extras I would highly recommend it.

  Advantages:

  Almost the same price of an e reader plus the advantage of accessing the internet etc. Smart looking, works like it's advertised!

  Disadvantages:

  Keeping in mind what your buying and how much your paying - none

  Other:

  I bought this for about the same price as the Kindle e Reader which is what I was looking for. A note for those who buy and plan on downloading overdraft media. Make sure the settings for your time zone, time and date are correct or you will receive a 1069 error message. A good little tablet at a very reasonable price.

  About standby time....

  Advantages:

  Very reliable, nice build quality, real android market, most of things runs smoothly, great price for the hardware.

  Disadvantages:

  The standby time only last for around 10 hour. I have to turn it off to save battery life and restart it when ever I want to use it. Is there anyway to solve this problem. I have seen the other user left the comment about rooting their device to correct the standby time. Is that a valid solution? Thanks

  Is the standby time could be fix somehow I would said this is a the greatest bang of the buck for me.

  Great Price, Great Tablet!

  Advantages:

  Speedy and responsive!
  Games are okay but not the best video performance with intensive 3D games. But very good overall.
  Fast shipping (but read disadvantages) and did I mention it's a zippy little tablet?!? Really nice.
  

  Disadvantages:

  It drains the battery by constantly looking for cell phone signals. No way to turn this off... EXCEPT:
  Root it with Visonary+ and rename the Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk files with **.old
  Battery life is EXCELLENT NOW!
  HOWEVER: You will need to download "Wifi Buddy" and "Bluetooth OnOff" BEFORE you rename.
  
  SHIPPING was fast but English Chinese EMS tracking does not work. Go to main chinese page to get it to work and use Google Chrome to translate it.
  

  Other:

  Great Tablet once you get the battery under control. Very much recommended!

  Great toy for the price

  Advantages:

  I really debated spending $140 to $200 on a tablet, when they seem to be outdated in six months time. After much research I chose to go with the Cortex A9. As a first time tablet user, I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and the abilities of this inexpensive device. I have shown it to many friends and everyone really liked it. It does exactly what the company said it would. For a beginner I would recommend this to anyone.

  Best tablet at this price.

  Advantages:

  Responsive capacitive display, snappy Cortex A9 processor, long battery life, very good build quality, fairly light weight. Android 2.2 is fine, not much different from 2.3 - I've got both.

  Disadvantages:

  For techie people: Limited mods available, the best being newmod729 - see the slatedroid.com forum for "Rena 3"
  The kernel does not support "iptables nat filter", so apps like Droidwall, SSHTunnel, tethering apps, various global proxy apps will not work, even if rooted. This, along with Android VPN problems make it useless for enterprise or secure network environments.
  Using Z4root will root it, but they have not been making it easier to do so in recent builds.
  Also, why don't manufacturers have sense to see that releasing hardware drivers and source code unleashes mods and improvements which will sell more of their hardware?

  Other:

  A very nice, quality tablet to use - a cut above the rest - and especially, by installing:
  1) "Advanced Task Killer" app (ignore the google geek advice, always kill everything not used)
  2) "Autostarts" app to block useless parasite (almost all) app startups and notifications
  (note: also just get rid of burdensome apps with too many autostart tentacles)
  3) optimization (eg. use LauncherPro)
  ... then it can be almost as immediate and responsive as an iTouch/Pad.
  For the casual user with factory firmware, it is still good and the disadvantages don't matter too much.

  Great for what it is

  Advantages:

  - USB port - I plugged an 8GB flash drive in and installed apps from it.
  - Micro SD slot - Haven't used it yet but plan to soon
  - HDMI port - Haven't used this yet either but it's a great option
  - Video looks great
  - Very responsive when touching links or rotating display
  - Browser is quick and displays flash
  - Great price for the specs

  Disadvantages:

  I hope the price can be lower.lol

  Advantages:

  Shipping from Mcbub was very quick. Device speed seems zippy enough. Android market is real market (though it seems to filter out a number of items). Screen is not bad (new the resolution, so got what expected which is quite reasonable for the price).

  Disadvantages:

  NO voice input. Sound recorder shows microphone works, but the Android doesn't include the voice input code and so can't use google voice search or speech to text keyboard. Market is not whole market. Couldn't download a number of the google mobile apps, link from the google site got "not found" in market. Camera is pretty low resolution, haven't tried it yet to see if it will work just for barcode scanning with Google Goggles, etc.
